The Eastern Gas Compression Roundtable (EGCR), a nonprofit organization that provides cost effective training programs to the natural gas industry, is hosting its annual conference May 19-21, 2015 at a new location – the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Sloan Lubrication Systems is again a proud sponsor of this year’s conference. The three-day conference offers cost-effective training focused on engine and compressor operations and maintenance. The goal is to meet the needs of industry workers closely involved with compressor stations from production to midstream to distribution.
Attendees can expect over 125 exhibitor booths. Make sure to stop by our booth, 407, and talk to a lubrication expert! We will have five Sloan team members on hand to answer any questions you may have. We will also be showcasing the latest in product innovation and integrated custom lubrication systems.
“Sit at our conference table, take a load off, and share a beer,” said Walter Sloan, Sloan Lubrication Systems President & CEO.
The conference also offers one-hour educational classes geared towards specific topics. Standard classes will be open to all attendees while specialized education tracks will be offered at an extra cost.
We will be teaching a class on Lubrication Systems in two parts. Part 1 takes place on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Part 2 takes place on Wednesday from 9:40 a.m. until 11:10 a.m.
Don’t miss out on more fun happening in the evening including an opening reception on Monday and a private cruise on the river via the city’s famous Gateway Clipper Tuesday evening.
The Sloan Lubrication team will be in attendance at the opening reception from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
Attendees do not need to have EGCR membership to attend the conference. Exhibits are open Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
How Sloan Helped Pioneer the EGCR
The first Eastern Gas Compression Roundtable took place in 1973 in West Virginia. John Sloan, the second Sloan generation who managed the business, was 1 of 9 local gas industry and support personnel who pioneered this roundtable discussion to address operating and maintenance questions on engine/compressor systems in Morgantown, WV.
341 individuals representing more than 100 companies turned out for this first roundtable. The roundtable has expanded to now include lectures and hands-on workshops. Our Matt MCarthy currently serves on the EGCR’s Board of Directors, and is Chair of the Exhibit Committee.
Boosting the Lubrication Efficiency of the Energy Industry
We serve the natural gas industry by keeping reciprocating and rotary compressors – both vital components to the natural gas industry – up and running.
We conduct on-site evaluations of your lubrication system and will design complete lubrication systems tailored to your needs.
Located in the heart of Western Pennsylvania, Sloan Lubrication Systems is also perfectly positioned to provide system design, regular maintenance, and reliable emergency service in the Utica and Marcellus Shale plays.
